Arstotzka is a communist state that has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. You will take on the role of an immigration inspector working for the Ministry of Admission of Arstotzka in East Grestin. Your job is to supervise the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the multitudes of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists ready to infiltrate Arstotzka. You will only be using the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission’s primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems. Your job is to check on people trying to enter Arstotzka and decide who can pass through the border and who has to be denied or even arrested. On top of wading your way through all the paper work, you also have a time limit for the day in which you have to process as many applicants as possible. At the end of each working shift, you will earn money based on how many people have been processed, bribes collected, as well as deductions for any penalties you accrued. Then you must decide on how to divide it between your family’s budget and upgrading your working environment. It is a game with a unique concept that is brilliantly executed.
